The first references to the presence of therapeutic natural springs in this city date back to the 8th century, but they are just rumors. The first list of spa guests, however, dating from 1680, is the oldest in the Czech Republic. The entire spa complex has been extensively rebuilt and in addition to treatment programs also offers a relaxing spa stay. Services are provided in four spa houses called: Císařské lázně (Imperial Spa), Lázeňský dům Beethoven (Beethoven Spa), Kamenné lázně (Stone Spa) a Nové lázně (New Spa).
