Nameed for the outstanding mathematician of our time; the patriarch of Soviet science, a talented teacher, twice Hero of Socialist Labor, Academician IM Vinogradov (1891-1983) is widely known in the scientific world. He made fundamental contributions to the theory of numbers, and he is considered to have been the foremost authority in this field. More than one hundred and forty original works of the scientist entered the "golden collection" of mathematics. The Memorial House of Academician IM Vinogradov opened on September 14, 1986, according to the Decree of the Council of Ministers "On the perpetuation of the memory of Academician IM Vinogradov," and is located in a restored house near the park, with a bronze bust of the scientist IM Vinogradov established November 1, 1979. The house-museum features a historical and biographical exposition full of commemorative mini-interiors and built on authentic objects, documenting the son of a hereditary priest. The memorial’s collection includes personal belongings and documents various periods of his life, domestic and foreign awards, and part of the home library, a separate publication of IM Vinogradov’s scientific papers, gifts for anniversaries, and objects and documents describing his hobbies. The museum records more than isolated moments, creating a wholly consistent reflection of the life and career of an original, truly Russian.
